In 6th grade my history teacher Mr. Hart (I think that was his name) intrigued me and my fellow classmates with the story of the Edmund Fitzgerald. He might have even played the song for us. That year— I recall it being a bad ass November storm—he told us the story of the shipwreck on what might have been its 10 year anniversary. Ugh I’m that old?
